Gustfront is looking to expand its design team with a skilled, stylish and vanguard Fashion Designer. The position consists of directly contributing designs for upcoming seasons and collections and overseeing the development of your designs through out production.  

Job Description:

  • Design apparel lines beginning with concept/mood/inspiration, through research, problem-solving, sketching and final product 
  • Design apparel intended to perform at the highest level while still looking stylish and ahead of trend 
  • Work between cross-functional teams (manufacturing, sustainability, merchandising, marketing just to name a few) 
  • Clearly communicate your design and opinion 
  • 4-6 years of progressive fashion design experience 
  • A progressive portfolio exemplifying your creative process 
  • Drive and a point of view 
  • Experience working collaboratively with a team and senior leadership 
  • Experience setting or collaborating on a creative apparel strategy 
  • Strong ability to story-tell through your design 
  • Strong presentation skill 
  • Great technical ability in CAD, Illustrator skills, garment construction and exploration. 
  • Passion for designing and creating in 3D.

    Technical Designer job opening

    Gustfront is looking to expand its design team with a skilled, stylish and thorough Technical Designer. The position consists of directly contributing technical drawings for upcoming seasons and collections and overseeing the development of your designs through out production, while interpreting concepts and early designs.  

    Responsibilities:

    • Creating pricing tech pack with complete pertinent information 
    • Identify and communicate potential construction or costing issues 
    • Fitting of samples through various stages of process on live fit model 
    • Communicating fit comments via Excel tech pack specs, and create comments in Illustrator 
    • Ensure fit and grading consistency is applied across all brand categories 
    • Working together with Patternmakers to resolve fit and construction challenges 
    • Supporting QC team to review possible quality issues prior shipping 
    • Following-up on fit samples status, parcel sending / receiving consistently 
    • Updating reports with tech pack release and fit approval status continuously 
    • Working closely with production team to stay on calendar and meet key dates 
    • Supporting technical design team members with work overflow during deadlines 
    • Maintain archives of Top of Production sample library in an organized 

      Skills: 

    • Understanding of fit, fabric, trims, draping, patterns, print placements and layouts Identify and communicate potential construction or costing issues 
    • Proficiency in grading, tolerances and garment proportions across fabrications 
    • Strong application of Excel, Illustrator and Photoshop 
    • Great written and verbal communication both internally and to external vendors 
    • Knowledge of construction methods and standards in contemporary market 
    • Ability to identify origin of fit issues, and present options to resolve 

      Qualities:

    Executive Assistant job opening

    Job Description:

    • Liaise between creative director and rest of company.
    • Help creative director manage output, workflow, and office deadlines.
    • Handle designer's mail and business messages and meetings.
    • Take notes at meetings.
    • Draft, type, and dispatch all of creative director's correspondence.
    • Liaise with relevant individuals, external organizations, etc. to arrange meetings, prepare agendas, and draft minutes.
    • Keep office and affairs organized and maintain a comprehensive filing system.
    • Arrange and co-ordinate director's travel in conjunction with in-house affairs, and arrange local transportation when necessary.
    • Works closely and effectively with the owner to keep him/her well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately.
    • Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping owner updated

    Requirements:
